How to Know Jesus

God loves you very much, and He has written a love letter to you revealing His love, character, and His very divine nature. In this letter, called "The Bible", God makes three important truths clear:

Mankind has been separated from God through selfish disobedience, which the Bible calls 'sin'. Every man, woman, and child, ever born, or who will be born has been born with this problem. Truthfully, we can never, ever measure up to the righteousness of God. The Bible says the consequence to our sinful rebellion is spiritual death, that is eternal separation from God, and there is no remedy in ourselves for this sin problem.

But the Bible also says that God has provided a solution to the problem of sin, and the solution is embodied in the person of Jesus Christ. We read in the Gospel of John, chapter 3 that God 'so loved' us, that He 'gave His only Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but will have everlasting life.' You see, God took the penalty you deserve upon Himself, when Jesus willingly died on the cross. He, in fact, purchased your release from sin and death, so that you could stand before Him blameless and inherit everlasting life in Heaven. And the Bible says that Jesus is the only solution which saves you.

Finally, the Bible invites us to make a decision based on the first two truths. We can know all about what Jesus did for us, without ever accepting His offer of forgiveness and new life for ourselves personally. You must choose to believe that God's plan of salvation through the substitutionary death of Jesus Christ on the cross is sufficient to cover your sin and bring forgiveness and new life. And you must invite Jesus to live in your heart to dwell there forever and commit your life to Him, to follow Him the rest of your life.

So, it is time for you to make that decision:
