The Redwood Gospel Mission was honored along with nine other organizations around the country through the Acton Institute’s Samaritan Awards. More than 400 organizations throughout the nations were evaluated for their “effective compassion.” We are grateful to be counted among those who were seen by the Acton Institute as bringing “Real Change” to people’s lives.

The Samaritan Award is given to a highly successful, privately funded charity whose work is direct, personal, and accountable. Its purpose is to encourage charities who, like the Good Samaritan, get intimately involved with individuals and work to bring about real change in the lives of those in need.
