When you are sleeping on the streets, haven’t had a hot meal in days and expect people to glare at you instead of smile, a meal cooked with love and served with compassion is a priceless gift.

Off the Streets
and Serving Coffee
Two years ago, Chris spent Thanksgiving homeless and alone. He might still be out there this year if it weren’t for people like you.
You see, his mom, who he’d been helping care for, passed away. He was devastated. In an attempt to ease his grief, he began drinking. His drinking spiraled out of control, impacting everything, and he ended up homeless.
After months on the street, Chris finally came to the Mission. Here he received hot meals, safe shelter and got connected to our other life-changing services.
Chris went through both our New Life Recovery Program and our Coffee Roasting Certificate Program. He graduated just a few months ago and is working at our coffee cart. Chris knows he’s off the streets and living a life he loves because of the support of people like you.
“My life before the Mission was becoming very hopeless. My life after the Mission has become very blessed,” he says.
Chris has now chosen to help others by starting a Christ-centered recovery small group.
